Today (1 July 2026), in the municipalities of Veles, Gradsko and Chashka, police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Veles Police Department, the Gradsko Police Station and the Chashka Police Outpost carried out preventive activities aimed at fire prevention. Citizens were reminded of the importance of reducing the risk of forest and open-area fires, exercising caution while performing agricultural work, maintaining continuous cooperation with the competent institutions, and reporting any irresponsible behaviour.
Similar preventive activities were also conducted by the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department in Skopje and by the Shtip Police Department in Shtip.
Police officers from the Negotino Police Department carried out a preventive campaign in Demir Kapija entitled "Protect Your Home", advising citizens on how to better protect themselves against various types of theft and burglary, with the aim of improving personal and property security.
Police officers from the Road Traffic Police Unit of the Kavadarci Police Department conducted a road safety campaign entitled "Drive Responsibly," during which drivers were reminded of the importance of strictly complying with traffic rules and regulations.
Police officers from the Road Traffic Police Units of the Veles Police Department, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department, and the Road Traffic Police Stations in Kochani and Berovo carried out preventive activities in Veles, Skopje, Kochani and Berovo under the campaign "Wear a Helmet." The campaign targeted riders of mopeds, motorcycles and electric scooters, emphasizing both the legal obligation and the safety benefits of wearing protective helmets. Participants were reminded that every road user shares equal responsibility for their own safety as well as for the safety of all other participants in traffic.
Yesterday, police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Veles Police Department also conducted preventive activities in the municipalities of Gradsko and Rosoman, reminding drivers not to operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol. They stressed that alcohol significantly impairs driving skills, reduces psychomotor abilities, and poses a serious threat to both the driver and all other road users.
As part of all preventive activities, printed educational materials were distributed to citizens.
