Guidelines and Procedure for Specific Rights (Requests) of Foreign Nationals
PRESS RELEASE
 
We inform all natural and legal entities  (foreigners, citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia, providers of accommodation services for foreigners, educational institutions, state administration bodies, economic, cultural and other entities) that application of the new Law on Foreigners started on 5 June 2019, which regulates the conditions for entry, exit, departure, regulation of temporary and permanent residence, return of foreigners with illegal residence, as well as the rights and duties of foreigners in the Republic of North Macedonia. The adoption of the new Rulebook on Foreigners and other by-laws is expected very soon, in which the methods and procedures for approval and refusal of entry, approval and extension of temporary residence, approval of permanent residence, cancellation and deprivation of residence, return, expulsion and removal to a foreigner, as well as registering and checking out the residence and stay of a foreigner will be more precise regulated. It will also contain forms for different types of decisions, requests and confirmations.
At the same time, we are informing you that the Ministry of the Interior, i.e. the Department for border affairs and migrations, at street Dimche Mirchev No. 9, 1000 Skopje as well as sections for foreigners and readmission and the border crossing points within the four regional centres for border affairs are in charge of matters related to entry, exit, stay and return of foreigners who illegally stay in the Republic of North Macedonia. In Skopje, these matters are under the competence of the Department for foreigners and readmission within the Sector for cross-border crime, migrations, foreigners and readmission – Regional centre for border affairs “North”, at bul. Goce Delchev bb (building of MRTV, 9 floor) in Skopje.
