Today (22 February 2026), police officers from the Prevention Unit within SVR Tetovo, in cooperation with local police stations and the Police Department for Road Traffic Safety Tetovo and Gostivar, carried out a preventive activity on the Tetovo–Gostivar highway, at the toll stations in Tetovo and Gostivar.
The activity was conducted under the motto “Use Winter Equipment,” during which, through direct communication with drivers and the distribution of educational leaflets, the importance of consistent compliance with traffic rules and regulations was emphasized. Special emphasis was placed on the legal obligation to use winter equipment in the period from 15 November 2025 to 15 March 2026.
At the same time, drivers were informed about the sanctions prescribed for non-compliance with this obligation, as well as the possible consequences for the safety of all road users.
The aim of the activity is to increase road safety and reduce the risk of traffic accidents in winter conditions.
