Today (November 18, 2025), the Police Department of Štip carried out preventive activities under the motto "Drive safely - arrive securely" and "Do not operate a passenger motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol."
In the central urban area of Štip, Sveti Nikole, and Pehčevo, police officers conducted preventive activities to raise awareness among drivers about the use of winter equipment. During this, drivers were handed out leaflets with useful tips for motorists. The main goal of the activities was aimed at raising awareness among traffic participants about the importance of properly preparing vehicles for winter conditions. Additionally, in direct contact, drivers were informed about the significance of timely checks on tires, brakes, and additional equipment for safe driving in winter conditions.
A preventive activity was also carried out at several locations in the central urban area of Kočani under the title "Do not operate a passenger motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol." During the implementation of the activity, participating drivers were pointed out the legal regulations along with a series of recommendations for safely operating a passenger vehicle, as well as the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, and they were informed that any driver who consumed alcohol beyond the legal limit and operates a passenger vehicle will be sanctioned. Drivers were given leaflets with educational content.
Furthermore, today, police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station in Štip conducted a lecture at the "Slavejko Arsov" Primary School in Štip on the topic "Let’s protect children in traffic." In this regard, children were introduced to the basic traffic rules and regulations through a specially prepared lecture, learning how to behave when they are participants in traffic, both as pedestrians and especially when riding bicycles.
