Today (28 March 2026), police officers from the Regional Center for Border Affairs East and the Police Station of General Competence Delchevo carried out preventive activities at several locations in Delchevo. The activities focused on the topics: “Prevention and Protection from Open-Space Fires,” “There is Help for a Life Without Violence – Do Not Be a Silent Witness,” and “Building Friendship, Creating Safety.”
Through direct meetings and conversations, police officers informed citizens on how to recognize forms of domestic violence, their rights, available protection measures, and how to report such incidents.
Citizens were also provided with advice on how to protect themselves from theft, burglaries, and fraud, and were introduced to the relevant legal provisions and sanctions addressing these issues.
During the activities, information was also shared about the dangers of fires, the consequences of lighting fires in open areas, including burning stubble and dry grass. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of timely reporting upon noticing a fire.
Additionally, educational leaflets related to these topics were distributed to citizens.
