On 27.03.2026, police officers from the Sectors of Internal Affairs in Veles, Strumica, Skopje, Tetovo, and Shtip carried out preventive activities in the villages of Rashtani, Buzalkovo, and Klukovec (Veles area), as well as in Strumica, Skopje, Tetovo, Berovo, Pehchevo, Negotino, Demir Kapija, and Makedonska Kamenica under the theme “Don’t Be a Silent Witness,” aiming to prevent all forms of gender-based violence.
Through direct communication with citizens, they explained ways to prevent gender-based violence and informed them about the availability of services for assistance and protection in case they become victims. Citizens were also advised on what actions they can take if they find themselves witnessing any form of violence. Police officers emphasized the importance of timely reporting of all types of violence, and printed educational materials were distributed.
Traffic-related preventive activities were also carried out today in the areas of Kavadarci, Chashka, Shtip, Delchevo, Kochani, and Sveti Nikole. Citizens were reminded of the importance of respecting traffic rules and regulations in order to improve road safety and reduce the number of traffic accidents.
