On June 18, 2026, in the area covered by the Chair Police Station, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Sector, in cooperation with the National Road Traffic Safety Council, organized and conducted an educational and preventive campaign titled “Safe on Scooters and Bicycles.”
Through direct communication with cyclists and users of electric scooters, officers emphasized the importance of fully complying with traffic laws and regulations. Educational materials prepared by the National Road Traffic Safety Council were also distributed. On the same day, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Sector, together with the Mirkovci Police Department, held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Municipality of Čučer Sandevo to discuss joint measures and activities aimed at preventing forest fires.
In several villages within the municipalities of Veles and Gradsko, as well as in Negotino and Demir Kapija, police officers, together with representatives of the Forest Police and the Negotino Territorial Firefighting Unit, carried out preventive activities under the themes “Flames Are Unstoppable” and “Let Us Protect Our Forests from Illegal Logging.”
Citizens were reminded of the need for continuous cooperation with relevant institutions and the mandatory reporting of irresponsible behavior, including dumping and burning waste, lighting fires in open areas and near forest zones, discarding cigarette butts, and similar actions, in order to enable a swift and timely response. The goal of the campaign is to raise public safety awareness while strengthening trust and cooperation between the police and citizens. Similar preventive activities were also conducted yesterday in the Municipality of Rosoman.
On June 18, 2026, in Tetovo, the Prevention Unit of the Tetovo Police Sector carried out the educational campaign “Always Wear a Helmet and Protect Your Life,” aimed at cyclists and electric scooter users. Participants received informational leaflets prepared by the National Road Traffic Safety Council, the Ministry of Interior, and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
Also on June 18, 2026, police officers from the Delčevo Traffic Police Station conducted a preventive campaign at several locations in Delčevo under the slogan “Helmet or Head.” During the activity, cyclists and scooter riders were advised to regularly wear protective helmets while riding, as helmet use is crucial for road safety. Educational leaflets containing practical safety advice were also distributed to help improve overall traffic safety awareness.
