On 15.11.2025, the Strumica Sector of Internal Affairs, through the Prevention Unit and the Strumica Traffic Safety Police Station, in partnership with the National Road Safety Council, marked the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
The activity was carried out at several locations in the Strumica area, where police officers, in conversations with drivers, reminded them of their obligation to drive responsibly and safely, thereby contributing to reducing the number of victims in traffic accidents.
From January to October 2025, the territory of the Strumica SIA recorded a decrease in the total number of traffic accidents compared to the same period in 2024. In the first ten months of this year, 454 traffic accidents occurred in the sector’s area, which is 13% fewer compared to the same period in 2024, when 521 accidents were registered. Also, this year there has been one fewer fatal traffic accident compared to the same period last year.
The Strumica SIA appeals to all traffic participants to drive conscientiously and responsibly, and to respect traffic rules and regulations, as this is the only way to jointly contribute to greater safety for everyone in traffic.
