On November 16, 2025, the Prevention Unit of the Police Department of Ohrid conducted a preventive-educational campaign titled "Responsible Participation in Traffic" in the areas of Ohrid and Struga. The aim of the campaign is to raise the level of safety culture and awareness among drivers of motor and other vehicles, as participants in traffic, regarding responsible behavior and increased attentiveness while operating vehicles, which will contribute to greater safety on the roads and the avoidance of traffic accidents.
In this regard, police officers from the Prevention Unit engaged in direct communication with drivers on several roadways in the city, emphasizing the importance of strictly adhering to rules and regulations and fully respecting the established horizontal and vertical traffic signage. Drivers were given leaflets and other educational materials containing a series of practical tips for traffic safety, aimed at resulting in a reduced number of traffic accidents and fatalities.
