The Regional Police Departments of Štip, Tetovo, Veles, and Skopje are conducting preventive activities for fire protection, property crime prevention, and safer traffic

Today (August 21, 2026), preventive activities for fire protection and safe traffic were carried out in the area of Štip. In Delčevo, an outdoor fire protection activity was conducted, while in Štip, Kočani, and Probištip, a series of activities for safer traffic were implemented. During all activities, citizens were handed out leaflets containing educational content and practical advice on protecting forests from fires and the necessity of adhering to traffic rules and regulations by all participants in traffic.

On August 20, 2026, at several locations in Tetovo, police officers from the Prevention Department of the Tetovo Regional Police conducted a preventive activity focusing on responsible parking. During the activity, it was emphasized that improper parking is a cause of numerous traffic accidents in which children, pedestrians, and cyclists suffer. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to park vehicles only in designated parking areas. Additionally, citizens were given leaflets with educational content.

Preventive activities for safer traffic were conducted today in Veles and the municipality of Čaška. Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Veles Regional Police and the Čaška Police Station particularly highlighted the importance of wearing a helmet while riding motorcycles, using seat belts, and emphasized to drivers not to operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol, as alcohol significantly impairs driving skills, disrupts psychomotor abilities, and poses a serious threat to their safety and that of other traffic participants.

In Skopje, in the area of the Bit Pazar Police Station, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department conducted a preventive educational campaign titled "Beware, Phone Scams" and "Anyone Can Be a Victim." The primary goal was to enhance the security culture among citizens regarding property crimes, as well as to strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and the public. During the activity, citizens were informed about self-protection methods to ensure they would not become easy targets for criminals.
