Today (August 20, 2026), a series of preventive activities were carried out in the areas covered by the Veles Internal Affairs Sector.
In Kavadarci, police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Unit within the Kavadarci Police Department conducted an activity under the motto “Drive Responsibly.” Drivers were reminded of their obligation to operate their vehicles carefully, adjust their speed to road conditions, wear seat belts, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, refrain from using mobile phones while driving, and follow other safety recommendations aimed at raising public awareness, increasing road safety and improving traffic culture.
In Negotino, preventive activities were carried out under the topics “Drive a Technically Roadworthy Vehicle” and “Protect Yourself from Theft,” while police officers in Čaška and Gradsko conducted preventive activities focused on fire prevention and protection. Educational printed materials were distributed as part of the activities.
On August 20, 2026, preventive activities were also carried out in the areas covered by the Centar and Aerodrom Police Stations, with the main objective of raising citizens’ security awareness regarding property-related crimes, as well as strengthening trust and cooperation between the police and citizens. During the activities, citizens were advised on ways to protect themselves and avoid becoming easy targets for criminals. Educational materials were also distributed.
A series of preventive activities were also carried out in the area covered by the Štip Internal Affairs Sector. In Kočani, Štip and Sveti Nikole, activities promoting road safety were conducted on several different topics, while in Berovo a preventive activity was held under the topic “Fire Prevention and Protection.” Through direct meetings and discussions, residents were informed about the dangers of lighting fires in open areas, forest fires and fires in buildings.
