On 21 August 2026, at the City Stadium in Štip, ahead of a football match, the Prevention Unit of the Štip Police Department conducted the campaign “Support Our Club Safely.” The activity was aimed at raising awareness among fans and all visitors about the importance of sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to a safe sporting atmosphere and preventing disturbances of public order and peace, violence, inappropriate behaviour and other incidents before, during and after the match. During direct contact with citizens, special emphasis was placed on responsible behaviour by young fans and compliance with instructions from organizers and police officers.
On 21 August 2026, during the evening hours in the municipality of Zrnovci, police officers from the Kočani Police Station conducted a neighbourhood patrol, during which they held several meetings with citizens and discussed various aspects of everyday life, youth safety, prevention of peer violence, maintaining stable public order and peace, and other issues.
Today (22 August 2026), police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Skopje Police Department, in cooperation with representatives of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, conducted a preventive fire safety activity in the area covered by the Mirkovci Police Office, Municipality of Čučer Sandevo. During conversations with residents, the need for continuous cooperation with the competent institutions and mandatory reporting of irresponsible behaviour was emphasized, including dumping and burning waste, burning stubble, lighting fires in open areas and near forest areas, throwing cigarette butts and similar activities, in order to enable a rapid and timely response by the institutions. In addition, citizens were informed about the relevant legal provisions and penalties, particularly those concerning the criminal offence of “Causing General Danger,” regulated under Article 288 of the Criminal Code, which carries a prison sentence of six months to five years. During the activity, residents were also provided with fire safety information materials.
