Preventive activities for safe traffic and prevention of domestic violence

Today (18.03.2026) in Strumica, Tetovo, Kumanovo, Resen, Skopje, Štip, Negotino, Sveti Nikole, and Kočani, police officers carried out preventive activities on the topics “There is help for a life without violence” and “Do not be a silent witness.” Through direct communication with citizens, they explained ways to prevent domestic violence and informed them about the availability of support and protection services if they become victims of violence. They also pointed out what citizens can do if they find themselves in a situation where they witness a certain form of violence. Police officers emphasized the importance of timely reporting of all forms of violence, and printed educational materials were distributed.

In Veles, Skopje, Štip, Kočani, Negotino, and Berovo, preventive activities for road safety were carried out, during which citizens were reminded of the need for strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations. Police officers from the Kavadarci Traffic Police Unit also conducted a preventive activity on the topic “Drive a technically sound and properly marked tractor,” aimed at raising awareness for safe and responsible participation in traffic by drivers of tractors and agricultural machinery, as well as increasing their visibility on the roads. As part of the activities, printed educational materials were distributed, prepared in cooperation with the Republic Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
