Today (08.04.2026), in the period from 12:00 to 13:00, at the Petrovec toll station, police officers from the Mobile Unit for Road Traffic Safety within the Traffic Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the Republic Council for Road Traffic Safety, carried out a preventive-educational activity.
The activity was aimed at increasing traffic culture and driver safety under the slogans: “Do not use a mobile phone and other electronic devices while driving” and “Wear a seat belt.”
As part of the activity, educational materials (leaflets) were distributed to drivers, emphasizing that the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices while driving significantly reduces concentration and hinders timely reaction, thereby increasing the risk of traffic accidents.
Drivers were also reminded of the legal obligation to use a seat belt, as well as its importance for their personal safety, the safety of passengers, and reducing the consequences in case of a traffic accident.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, so that together we can contribute to safer roads.
