On 24 July 2026, police officers from the Traffic Police Station in Kočani carried out a preventive campaign titled "We Are All Pedestrians" at several locations in the city center of Kočani. The main objective of the campaign was to improve road safety awareness by encouraging respect for traffic rules and regulations, while also strengthening trust and cooperation between the police and the public.
At the Romanovce toll station, on the Kumanovo–Sveti Nikole regional road, and on the Kumanovo–Kriva Palanka main road, police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Kumanovo Police Department conducted preventive activities focused on road safety and the prevention of thefts from vehicles. Drivers and other road users were advised to begin long journeys only after getting sufficient rest, stay hydrated, and take breaks every two to three hours. They were also reminded not to leave valuables inside their vehicles in order to reduce the risk of theft and damage to their cars.
A preventive campaign aimed at protecting forests from wildfires and preventing open-air fires was also carried out yesterday by police officers from the Pehčevo Border Surveillance Police Station together with a representative of the "Maleševo" Forest Enterprise from Berovo. In the village of Ratevo and at several locations across the Municipality of Berovo, citizens were informed about the importance of exercising greater caution to reduce the risk of forest and open-area fires. They were also informed about the relevant legal provisions and penalties, as well as the current complete ban on movement in forests.
During all activities, citizens received educational leaflets with safety information.
