Preventive activities to prevent violence and property crimes, as well as to ensure safer traffic

 

Today (March 31, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Veles conducted preventive-educational activities aimed at protecting against property crimes and fraud on the themes "Protect Your Home" and "Protection Against Pickpocketing." Citizens were informed about the need for greater vigilance and the ways to protect themselves from various types and forms of theft and fraud, with the goal of increasing their level of personal and property security. The activity was particularly directed towards the elderly population, who are often targets of various types of property crimes, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding their homes, being cautious with their personal belongings, and being especially careful when communicating with strangers to avoid becoming victims of theft and fraud. A preventive activity on the theme "Protect Your Home" was also carried out today by police officers from the Čaška Police Station in Vranovski Anovi, Stari Grad, and Izvor, in the municipality of Čaška. 

Police officers from the BPPS Kavadarci and SVR Štip conducted preventive activities in Kavadarci, Štip, Kočani, and Berovo to influence the increase of safety levels, traffic culture, and awareness among drivers, aiming to reduce the number of traffic accidents. As part of the preventive activities, printed educational materials were distributed.

Police officers from SVR Bitola and PS Berovo conducted preventive activities in Berovo and at the "Krste Petkov Misirkov" Primary School in the village of Bistrica, Bitola region, to prevent the occurrence of any form of gender-based violence. The activities emphasized the procedures and protocols in cases of gender-based violence and the availability of services for assistance, protection, and temporary shelter. In direct communication, citizens were given guidance and advice on what they can do if they find themselves witnessing a certain type of violence.
