Today (July 18, 2026), in the areas of the Municipality of Karbinci and the Municipality of Kisela Voda, police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Štip and the Prevention Unit of the SVR Skopje, in coordination with the Public Enterprise "National Forests," carried out preventive activities for fire protection. Citizens were informed about the dangers of careless littering and burning of waste, burning of stubble, discarding cigarette butts, and other types of flammable materials in open spaces and near forest belts, in order to reduce the risk of wildfires.
The aim of these activities is to enhance safety culture, as well as to strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and citizens, and to encourage timely reporting of any instances of irresponsible behavior. As part of the activities, printed educational materials were also distributed.
