During yesterday and today (18/19.09.2026), police officers from the Prevention Units at the Kumanovo and Shtip Sectors of Internal Affairs, as well as from the Bitola Sector of Internal Affairs, carried out preventive activities to improve road safety in Kumanovo, Shtip, and at “Krste Petkov Misirkov” Primary School in the village of Kravari, Bitola area.
As part of the “European Mobility Week”, observed from 16 to 22 September, citizens in Shtip were reminded of the importance of respecting traffic rules in order to increase road safety, as well as the importance of using alternative means of transportation more frequently.
At “Krste Petkov Misirkov” Primary School in the village of Kravari, Bitola area, specially trained police officers explained to the students how to move safely in traffic, that is, how to safely travel from school to home and back.
Meanwhile, police officers from the Prevention Unit at the Kumanovo Sector of Internal Affairs, in coordination with a municipal traffic inspector from the Municipality of Kumanovo, today conducted a preventive activity focused on the safety of public passenger transportation, specifically taxi services. Taxi drivers were reminded of the need to have complete documentation, to undergo technical inspections every six months, and, of course, to comply with all traffic rules and regulations.
Yesterday, in cooperation with motorcycle clubs from Kumanovo, a preventive activity aimed at motorcycle riders was also carried out. The riders were reminded of the rules and obligations for careful and responsible participation in traffic, particularly the obligation to wear a protective helmet.
