Police officers from the Traffic Police Unit in Bitola also held a lecture for students from Bitola at the premises of SIA Bitola, highlighting the consequences of failing to comply with traffic rules and regulations.

Yesterday (04.06.2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of SIA Veles carried out a preventive activity at several locations in Veles, informing drivers about the risks and consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol. They emphasized that alcohol significantly impairs driving skills, affects psychomotor abilities, and poses a serious threat to both drivers and other road users. Drivers were also reminded of the importance of exercising maximum caution in order to improve overall road safety.

Meanwhile, police officers from the Prevention Unit of SIA Skopje conducted preventive activities today aimed at motorcycle, electric scooter, and bicycle riders. The goal was to improve traffic culture by reminding participants of the rules and responsibilities for careful and responsible participation in traffic, with particular emphasis on the mandatory use of protective helmets. A lecture on traffic safety was also held at the “Draga Stojanovska” Primary School in the village of Rakotinci near Skopje, as well as during a visit by students from the “Hristijan Todorovski-Karposh” Primary School to the Karposh Police Station.

Police officers from SIA Shtip also carried out preventive activities for safer traffic in Shtip, Kochani, the village of Cheshinovo, and the village of Obleševo. In Delchevo and Pehchevo, preventive efforts focused on the prevention of forest fires and illegal logging. Through discussions with citizens, police officers emphasized the importance of responsible behavior and care for forest resources. Citizens were also informed that illegal logging and causing forest fires are criminal offenses punishable under the law. Educational printed materials prepared in cooperation with the Public Enterprise “National Forests” were distributed to the public.
