Today (04.06.2026), police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs conducted an educational lecture for students at ООУ „Димката Ангелов Габерот“ in Demir Kapija on the topic “Prevention of Addictions.” The aim was to inform young students about the consequences of various forms of addiction, including drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and gambling.
Police officers from the Prevention Unit and the Traffic Police Station of Veles, as well as police officers from the Kavadarci Department of Internal Affairs, carried out a preventive campaign entitled “Use a Seat Belt.” During the activity, participants were reminded that wearing a seat belt is a legal obligation for both drivers and passengers and is essential for increasing personal safety.
In Tetovo, Skopje, Kochani, and Delchevo, police officers from the Tetovo, Skopje, and Shtip Sectors for Internal Affairs conducted preventive activities yesterday and today aimed at motorcycle, electric scooter, and bicycle riders.
The purpose of these activities was to improve road safety awareness by reminding participants of the rules and responsibilities for careful and responsible participation in traffic, while emphasizing the obligation to wear a protective helmet.
As part of the campaign, educational materials prepared in cooperation with the Republic Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security – Skopje were distributed.
