Today (June 3, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Police Department of Veles conducted a preventive activity themed "Don't Be a Silent Witness," aimed at proactively addressing the prevention of all forms of gender-based violence, explaining the procedures and actions to take in cases of gender-based violence, and the availability of services for assistance, protection, and temporary shelter. In the municipality of Chashka, police officers from the Chashka Police Station carried out a preventive activity themed "Flames Are Unstoppable," highlighting the need for protection and risk reduction regarding the occurrence of forest fires and open space fires, as well as careful execution of agricultural work. Meanwhile, police officers from the Negotino Police Station in Demir Kapija conducted a preventive activity themed "Police Closer to Citizens," sharing advice with the local population to enhance their personal and property security, emphasizing the necessity of mutual cooperation and trust between the local community and police officers, thereby fostering better communication.
Police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station at the SVR Veles today conducted a traffic preventive activity themed "Drive Consciously, Drive Responsibly," emphasizing to drivers the importance of mandatory adherence to traffic rules and regulations. Meanwhile, police officers from the OVK Negotino carried out a traffic preventive activity under the theme "Wear a Helmet," highlighting to moped and motorcycle riders the obligation and necessity of using a protective helmet for greater personal safety, while in Kavadarci, a preventive activity was conducted on the theme "Park Consciously, Park Responsibly," pointing out to drivers that proper parking of vehicles is of utmost importance for individual and collective safety in traffic.
As part of the preventive activities, printed educational materials were also distributed.
On June 3, 2026, police officers from the Traffic Safety Departments of Kochani and Sveti Nikole conducted preventive activities under the mottos "Ride Safely on a Bicycle" and "Buckle Up." In direct conversations, it was clarified to them that users of motorcycles, bicycles, and electric scooters should wear helmets. Additionally, during the preventive activity, flyers with educational content were distributed to participating drivers in traffic.
