Today (June 2, 2026) in Veles and Kavadarci, police officers from the Kavadarci Police Station and the Prevention Department of the Veles Police Department conducted preventive activities under the theme "Always Ride Safely and According to the Rules with a Scooter and Bicycle." As part of the preventive activities, citizens were informed about the importance of adhering to rules and regulations, as well as the significance of having protective gear when operating electric scooters and bicycles. Police officers from the Veles Traffic Police conducted a preventive activity titled "Use Your Seatbelt," reminding drivers and passengers of the obligation to wear seatbelts in vehicles to enhance personal safety. Yesterday, police officers from the Negotino Police Station held an educational workshop for students at the "Goce Delchev" Primary School, emphasizing basic traffic rules and regulations to the youngest through presentations and practical activities. Police officers from the Chashka Police Station, in the Chashka neighborhood and the villages of Lisiche, Golozinci, and Melnica, today carried out a preventive activity to protect against phone scams, advising citizens to always be cautious when communicating with unknown individuals and not to share personal information to avoid becoming victims of fraud.
Preventive activities to protect against scams were also conducted yesterday and today in the municipalities of Negotino and Demir Kapija.
Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department conducted a preventive activity titled "Do Not Leave Valuable Items in Your Car" in the area of the Center Police Station. The officers engaged directly with citizens, advising them not to leave valuable items in parked cars to prevent the risk of serious thefts from passenger vehicles. Citizens were also informed about prevention methods in close cooperation with the police, and educational printed materials containing informative content were distributed, emphasizing that any suspicious case should be reported to the police station.
In Delčevo, police officers from the Delčevo Police Station carried out preventive activities aimed at preventing fires and illegal logging. The officers, in conversation with citizens, highlighted the need for maximum diligence and care for the forest resources. Citizens were also informed that illegal logging and causing fires are criminal offenses that are legally sanctioned. Printed educational materials, created in collaboration with the Public Enterprise "National Forests," were distributed to the citizens.
In Štip and Kočani, police officers from the Štip and Kočani Police Stations conducted preventive activities under the slogans "Wear a Helmet, Drive Carefully" and "Buckle Up." The goal of these activities was to enhance traffic culture by reminding everyone of the rules and responsibilities for careful and responsible participation in traffic. Moped and motorcycle riders were reminded of the obligation to wear protective helmets, both for themselves and their passengers. As part of the activities, educational materials were distributed, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Safety and the Faculty of Security – Skopje.
