On 25.08.2026, at several locations in Štip and Probištip, police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Stations carried out preventive activities aimed at promoting road safety.
In Štip, the activities were conducted under the motto “Do Not Use a Mobile Phone While Driving a Motor Vehicle”, during which participating drivers were informed about the legal regulations concerning their obligation not to use a mobile phone while driving a passenger motor vehicle.
In Probištip, the activities focused on increasing the safety of cyclists and electric scooter riders. Drivers were provided with educational materials containing useful information on amendments to the law and were informed that an electric scooter may be operated by a person who has reached the age of 18. They were also informed about the legal provisions and regulations governing participation in public traffic by bicycle, including the mandatory use of a helmet.
Today, the Prevention Unit within the Kumanovo Sector for Internal Affairs also carried out a preventive road safety campaign under the motto “Ride Safely – Motorcycle, Scooter and Bicycle.” Drivers were advised on responsible behavior in traffic and the mandatory use of protective equipment, as well as the legal consequences of failing to comply with traffic regulations.
On 25.08.2026, in the area covered by the Karpoš Police Station, the Prevention Department within the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs, in cooperation with the Republic Council for Road Traffic Safety (RCRTS), carried out a series of preventive activities aimed at road safety. The main objective was to increase citizens’ safety awareness, as well as to strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and citizens. During the activities, through direct communication with all road users, including drivers, participants were reminded of the need to fully comply with traffic rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, today, police officers from the Negotino Department of Internal Affairs and the Čaška Police Department carried out preventive activities aimed at protecting citizens from phone scams and preventing open fires.
As part of the activities in Negotino, citizens were advised to always exercise caution when communicating with unknown persons and not to disclose personal information or payment card details in order to avoid becoming victims of this type of fraud.
In Čaška, citizens were informed about the need for greater cooperation with the authorities and the importance of promptly reporting any instances of irresponsible behavior, including the dumping and burning of waste and the lighting of fires, particularly in open areas and near forested areas, in order to ensure a timely and rapid response by all relevant institutions.
