Today (August 24, 2026), police officers from the Traffic Safety Department at the Kavadarci Police Station conducted a preventive activity themed "Drive Safely with a Technically Sound Vehicle." The aim of the activity is to raise the level of traffic culture, emphasizing the obligation for regular maintenance and technical soundness of vehicles as a key prerequisite for safe participation in traffic, while tractor and agricultural machinery drivers were also reminded of the need for greater visibility on the roads. Police officers from the Čaška Police Station, on the other hand, carried out a preventive activity for the protection of forests from illegal logging, stressing that any unlawful actions will be appropriately sanctioned. As part of the preventive activities, printed educational materials were distributed.
On August 24, 2026, in the area of Kisela Voda, the Prevention Department at the Skopje Police Department conducted a preventive educational campaign for safe traffic, covering several topics. During the activity, direct communication with all traffic participants highlighted the necessity of fully adhering to traffic rules and regulations. Additionally, today, on the main road Skopje – Blače, the Prevention Department at the Skopje Police Department, in cooperation with the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, implemented a preventive activity as part of the campaign "Safe City - For Safe Traffic Participants." The campaign aims to inform citizens about the functioning of the "Safe City" system, which enables more efficient detection and recording of traffic violations.
Meanwhile, today police officers from the Traffic Safety Department in Kočani conducted a preventive activity titled "Responsibly at the Crosswalk." Through direct communication, pedestrians were reminded that they must use the designated traffic areas for walking—sidewalks—as well as crosswalks when crossing streets, thereby directly contributing to increased safety in traffic. It was also pointed out the penalties that arise from disregarding legal provisions.
