Preventive activities for safe traffic, preventing peer violence, and careful use of social media

Today (February 26, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the Regional Police Station in Veles conducted a lecture for students at the Primary School "Vasil Glavinov" in Veles on the topics of "Bullying," "Cyber Violence," and "TikTok Challenges." The students were introduced to the ways these deviant phenomena manifest, as well as the consequences that may arise in various forms. As part of the activity, methods for timely prevention and dealing with this type of deviant behavior among youth were clarified, and they were advised to exercise greater caution when using social media, in order to raise awareness about seriously analyzing the content they encounter and completely avoiding dangerous TikTok challenges. An educational workshop on these topics, as well as on the topic of domestic violence, was also conducted by the Prevention Department of the Regional Police Station in Skopje at the Primary School "Cyril and Methodius" in the village of Stajkovci. Police officers from the Regional Police Station in Negotino, on the other hand, today carried out a preventive activity to protect against various types of fraud, with a special emphasis on telephone scams, during which citizens were advised to be cautious when speaking with unknown individuals offering various services and what steps to take to protect themselves, and to report any suspicious cases to the police. 

A preventive activity for protection against telephone scams was also conducted on February 25, 2026, in the area of the municipality of Čaška. 

At the Secondary School "Kosta Susinov" in Radovish, police officers from the Department of Internal Affairs Strumica, along with a doctor, a teacher, and a representative from the Inter-Municipal Center for Social Work Radovish, conducted an educational lecture with high school students as part of the project "Responsibility Begins with Choice." The aim of this lecture was to inform the students and enhance their knowledge about the harmful consequences that can arise from the use of alcohol, tobacco, psychoactive substances, as well as gambling. A similar lecture was held yesterday by police officers from the Prevention Department at the Department of Internal Affairs Ohrid, at the secondary hospitality and tourism school "Vanco Pitoseki" in Ohrid.

The Departments of Internal Affairs Struga, Beroe, and Probistip carried out preventive activities for safe traffic, focusing on raising awareness among drivers not to operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol. Specifically, alcohol significantly impairs driving skills, disrupts psychomotor abilities, and poses a serious threat to their safety and that of other road users.

Police officers from the Public Safety Bureau in Stip informed drivers about the necessity of regular servicing and checking the technical condition of vehicles, while the Public Safety Bureau in Kochani conducted a preventive activity emphasizing the need for proper parking of vehicles to ensure the safety of other road participants. An educational workshop on the topic of safe traffic was also conducted by police officers from the Prevention Department at the Department of Internal Affairs Skopje at the Primary School "Rajko Zinzifov" in Drachevo.
