Today (February 27, 2026), police officers from the Police Station for Public Safety in Veles conducted a preventive activity on the theme "Buckle Up." Through direct communication, citizens were reminded of their obligation to wear seat belts in vehicles and to strictly adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, emphasizing that using seat belts is a legal requirement for both drivers and passengers, aimed at enhancing their personal safety. Additionally, police officers from the Prevention Department at the Regional Police Directorate in Veles carried out a preventive activity on the theme "Caution When Crossing the Street," during which pedestrians were advised to cross the street only at marked crosswalks, to avoid using headphones and mobile phones, to be vigilant, especially in the evening hours when moving in poorly lit areas, along with a series of other tips. Police officers from the Police Station for Public Safety in Kochani held a lecture on traffic safety for students from first to fifth grade at the Primary School "Kliment Ohridski" in the village of Pribachevo, while the Prevention Department at the Regional Police Directorate in Skopje engaged with students from the Primary School "Rajko Zinzifov" in Drachevo. The goal of these activities is to influence the increase of traffic culture and enhance the level of safety in traffic.
During yesterday, at the municipal high schools "Riste Rustevski Richko" and "Orde Chopela" in Prilep, police officers from the Regional Police Directorate in Bitola and the Police Station in Prilep held educational workshops on the topic of cyber violence, focusing on how to recognize and prevent it in a timely manner. The workshops also addressed protection from addictions, as well as safety in traffic.
The Prevention Department at the SVR Kumanovo, in collaboration with the Municipal Council for Prevention from the Municipality of Kumanovo and the Prevention Department at the SVR Skopje, conducted preventive activities at the Primary Schools "Kole Nedelkovski" and "Goce Delchev" in Skopje to combat domestic violence. Police officers from the Police Station in Sveti Nikole carried out a preventive initiative titled "Protect Yourself from Pickpocketing" and "Secure Your Home." Citizens were given advice on how to protect themselves from property crimes, and if they become victims, they were urged to report the incident to the police immediately.
