Today (August 27, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department and the Police Station for Public Safety at the SVR Veles conducted traffic preventive activities titled "Drive Safely with a Technically Sound Vehicle," aimed at raising the level of traffic culture, emphasizing the obligation for regular maintenance and technical soundness of vehicles as a key prerequisite for safe participation in traffic. The OVK Resen, in the Resen area, carried out a preventive activity yesterday directed at drivers, warning them of the dangers of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. As part of the activities, educational materials were distributed.
Police officers from the Police Station in Čashka conducted a preventive activity to protect against phone scams, advising citizens to always be cautious when communicating with unknown individuals and not to disclose personal information to avoid becoming victims of fraud, while police officers from the Prevention Department at SVR Skopje and the Police Station for Public Safety at SVR Veles carried out preventive activities in Skopje and Veles, advising citizens on how to protect themselves from various forms of theft. Police officers from the Police Station in Delčevo, on the other hand, conducted a preventive activity for fire protection, informing citizens through direct conversations about the consequences of starting a fire in open spaces.
In Plasnica and Macedonian Brod, police officers from the OVK Macedonian Brod carried out preventive activities aimed at raising awareness of the harmful consequences of using weapons and pyrotechnic materials under the motto "Celebrate with Heart, Not with Weapons."
