On August 28, 2026, police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Kumanovo and the Police Station Matejče conducted preventive activities to prevent fires in the territory of the Lipkovo municipality. The police officers, through direct communication with citizens, emphasized the need for responsible behavior in nature, particularly stressing the importance of avoiding open flames, not discarding cigarette butts, and reporting any fires immediately by calling 112. Farmers were reminded of the necessity for careful execution of agricultural tasks, highlighting the dangers of causing fires from burning borders, stubble with dry grass, and waste in fields. They were also informed that causing fires is a criminal offense, which is duly sanctioned by law. Citizens were provided with printed educational materials, created in collaboration with the Public Enterprise "National Forests," with a note to respect the prohibition on movement in forests.
Police officers from SVR Kumanovo, as well as from the Prevention Department of SVR Bitola, the Police Station for Border and General Affairs Novo Selo, and the Police Station for Border and General Affairs Delčevo, carried out preventive activities for safer traffic, reminding drivers of the need to adhere to traffic rules and regulations. At the border crossings Mežitliya, Novo Selo, and Delčevo, drivers were informed about the functioning of the "Safe City" system, and educational materials were distributed to them.
