Over the past weekend, police officers from the Border Surveillance Police Station in Popova Shapka conducted preventive activities aimed at preventing fires in the area of PSGN Popova Shapka. The police officers engaged in direct communication with citizens, emphasizing the need for responsible behavior in nature, particularly stressing the importance of avoiding open flames, not discarding cigarette butts, and reporting any fires immediately by calling 112. Farmers were reminded of the necessity for careful execution of agricultural tasks, with a focus on the dangers of causing fires from burning borders, stubble, dry grass, and waste in fields. They were also informed that causing fires is a criminal offense, which is legally sanctioned. Citizens were provided with printed educational materials, developed in collaboration with the Public Enterprise "National Forests."
Police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Skopje and the RC GR North in Skopje, as well as at the Border Crossing Dolno Blace, carried out preventive activities for safer traffic, urging drivers to adhere to traffic rules and regulations while informing them about the operation of the "Safe City" system. Citizens were also given educational materials.
