On August 31, 2026, police officers from the Prevention Department and the Public Security Bureau at the SVR Veles conducted a preventive activity aimed at raising awareness about the need to respect traffic rules, in order to enhance safety levels on the roads. Special emphasis was placed on the necessity for drivers to be aware that they should not operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol, given that alcohol significantly impairs driving skills, disrupts the psychomotor abilities of drivers, and poses a serious threat to their safety and that of other road users. Today (September 1, 2026), police officers from the Negotino Police Station advised pedestrians that as active participants in traffic, they also have an obligation to respect traffic rules and regulations, emphasizing that they should cross the street at designated crosswalks, refrain from using headphones and mobile phones, and remain vigilant, especially in the evening hours when moving in poorly lit areas. The Prevention Department at SVR Skopje also carried out preventive activities for safe traffic in the Gazia Baba area.
Police officers from the Macedonian Brod Police Station at the "Kliment Ohridski" Primary School in Macedonian Brod and police officers from the Krushevo Police Station at the "Nikola Karev" Primary School in Krushevo conducted preventive activities with first graders, introducing them to the basic rules and regulations of traffic, specifically how to safely travel from home to school and back. As part of the activity, educational materials were also distributed.
Today (01.09.2026), the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department conducted a preventive-educational activity titled "Stop Bullying" in elementary schools within the jurisdiction of the Aerodrom Police Station. Insults, mockery, humiliation, threats, physical violence, intentional exclusion from social circles, as well as offensive messages and posts on social media can seriously impact a child's self-esteem and mental well-being, while simultaneously affecting their safety. The fight against bullying is a shared responsibility among relevant institutions, parents, and students, aimed at eradicating this deviant phenomenon.
