Preventive activities for safe traffic by the Regional Police Departments of Veles, Skopje, and Stip

Today (April 3, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Veles, the PO BPS Negotino, and the SVR Stip conducted preventive activities in Veles, Kochani, Stip, and Negotino under the theme "Don't forget, we are all pedestrians; be responsible in traffic." During this, citizens were reminded that they should only cross the street at marked pedestrian crossings, refrain from using headphones and mobile phones, and respect all traffic rules and regulations as active participants in traffic. Police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Veles also held an educational lecture for first and second-grade students at the branch elementary school in the village of Slivnik, Veles, on the topic "Rules for Little Pedestrians," where children were introduced to basic traffic rules, aiming to influence the increase of safety in traffic for the youngest from an early age. An educational lecture on this topic was also held on April 2, 2026, for students from first to fourth grade at the Primary School "Lirija" in the village of Gorno Jabolchishte, in the municipality of Chashka. These preventive-educational activities are part of the campaign "Pedestrian Week," which is celebrated from April 1 to April 7, 2026, aimed at increasing the level of traffic culture and strengthening trust and cooperation between the police and citizens. Citizens were also provided with printed educational materials, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.

Police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Skopje conducted an educational activity with preschool children at the JOUDG "11 October" in Skopje. In this context, the basic traffic concepts, rules, and regulations were explained to the children in a proactive manner, adapted to their age.

Police officers from the OVK Probishtip also carried out preventive activities to prevent fires and illegal logging in Probishtip.
