On February 18, 2026, the Prevention Department of the Police Department in Veles conducted preventive-educational activities in the municipalities of Negotino and Demir Kapija on the topics "Beware of Phone Scams," "Protect Your Home," and "Watch Your Wallet." An educational lecture was held at the Retirement Home in Negotino for the elderly population, who are the most common targets of scammers, highlighting that the most frequent type of fraud involves unknown individuals misleading them into believing that their family members are victims of traffic accidents, posing as police officers, doctors, or lawyers, and requesting a certain amount of money. In such cases, citizens should immediately report to the police and never give out money. Such meetings with citizens were also held in the villages of Timjanik, Krivolak, Pepeliste, Negotino, and in Demir Kapija, as well as in Berovo by police officers from the Police Station in Berovo. Today, in Negotino, police officers from the Traffic Safety Department of the Police Station in Negotino conducted an educational workshop for seventh-grade students from the Primary School "Strasho Pindzur" in Negotino, where they were introduced to the role of police officers and the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
The Prevention Department of the Police Department in Ohrid, in cooperation with the municipal organization of the Red Cross in Ohrid and the Territorial Firefighting Unit, conducted a demonstration exercise for protection and evacuation at the municipal primary school "Kocho Racin" in Ohrid, based on a scenario of an earthquake. The exercise had a preventive character, aimed at coordinating services during natural disasters.
Police officers from the Regional Center for Public Safety in Štip, Eastern Regional Center for Traffic Safety, and Western Regional Center for Traffic Safety conducted preventive activities for safer traffic in the municipalities of Delčevo, Kočani, and Viniica, as well as at the border crossings of Steње, Ќafasan, and St. Naum. The Prevention Department at the Regional Center for Public Safety in Kumanovo and the Police Station in Delčevo held educational workshops at the Primary School "Kiro Burnaz" in Kumanovo and the Primary School "St. Clement of Ohrid" in the village of Grad, Delčevo, aimed at preventing addictions.
