Preventive activities for safe traffic and fire protection

Yesterday and today (August 16 and 17, 2026) in Skopje, Tetovo, Štip, and Delčevo, preventive activities for safe traffic were carried out, while in the municipality of Lipkovo, a preventive activity for fire protection was implemented.
Today, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department conducted preventive-educational campaigns on various topics related to the safety of all traffic participants. The primary goal was to enhance the safety culture among citizens, as well as to strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and the public.

On August 16, 2026, on the Tetovo-Skopje road, near the toll station in Želino, police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Tetovo Police Department, in collaboration with officers from the Traffic Safety Police Department in Gostivar, conducted a preventive activity titled "Do Not Use Your Mobile Phone While Driving."

Additionally, today, police officers from the Štip Police Department and the Delčevo Police Station carried out activities for safe traffic. Citizens in Štip were informed that it is of utmost importance to respect the legal amendments stating that an electric scooter can only be operated by individuals who are at least 18 years old. In Delčevo, attention was focused on responsible vehicle management, specifically that alcohol should not be consumed when operating a vehicle.

Police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Kumanovo Police Department, along with officers from the Matejče Police Station and representatives from the municipality of Lipkovo, conducted a joint patrol among the residents of Lipkovo today. The aim of this joint patrol is to appeal to the population not to burn stubble, dry grass around homes and fields, and not to discard waste, thus collectively contributing to a fire-free summer.
During all activities, citizens were provided with leaflets containing educational content.
