Today (April 21, 2026), police officers from the Public Security Station in Veles conducted a preventive activity on the theme "You and I are Pedestrians." The aim of the activity was to remind pedestrians that, as participants in traffic, they also have an obligation to respect traffic rules and regulations. During the activity, it was emphasized that they should cross the street at marked pedestrian crossings, refrain from using headphones, mobile phones, or other electronic devices, and always remain vigilant. Police officers from the Police Station in Chashka conducted a preventive activity on the theme "Drive Safely with Agricultural Machinery" to enhance safety and visibility of agricultural machines in traffic. Additionally, in Shtip, police officers from the Shtip Police Department carried out preventive activities on the themes "Don't Use Your Mobile Phone" and "Buckle Up," during which drivers were informed about the dangers of using mobile phones while driving, as well as the necessity of wearing seat belts for both drivers and passengers. As part of the preventive activities, printed educational materials were distributed, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
Police officers from the Public Security Station in Berovo conducted a preventive activity in the areas of Berovo and Pehchevo today as part of the campaign to prevent forest fires, outdoor fires, and illegal logging. In this context, during discussions with citizens, it was highlighted that continuous cooperation with relevant institutions is necessary, along with mandatory reporting of irresponsible behavior, such as littering and burning trash, starting fires in open spaces and near forested areas, discarding cigarette butts, and similar actions, to ensure prompt and timely responses from the authorities.
Police officers from the Police Station in Probishtip, in collaboration with representatives from the Municipal Council for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency at the Municipality of Probishtip, held educational lectures at the Primary Schools "Braka Miladinovci" and "Nikola Karev" in Probishtip, aimed at the early prevention of criminal acts and offenses.
