Today (April 20, 2026) in Veles, police officers from the Prevention Unit and the Police Station for Public Safety in Veles conducted a preventive activity aimed at motorcyclists, emphasizing the need for greater attentiveness and the use of protective gear, with the goal of enhancing safety and raising awareness about the risks that may arise from disregarding traffic rules and regulations. Police officers from the Police Station in Kavadarci carried out a traffic preventive activity under the theme "Drive Responsibly," aiming to elevate the level of traffic culture.
Additionally, in Stip, Vinica, and Kochani, police officers from the Police Department of Stip implemented preventive activities on the themes "Don't Use Your Mobile Phone" and "Buckle Up," during which drivers were informed about the dangers of using a mobile phone while operating a vehicle, as well as the necessity of wearing a seatbelt, both for drivers and passengers. The goal of these activities is to raise awareness among traffic participants and enhance the level of traffic culture, aiming to reduce the number of traffic accidents. As part of the preventive activities, printed educational materials were also distributed.
Police officers from the Police Station in Chashka conducted a preventive activity on the theme "Don't Be a Silent Witness," aiming to proactively address the prevention of all forms of gender-based violence, with an emphasis on the procedures and actions to take in cases of gender-based violence and the availability of services for assistance, protection, and temporary shelter.
