Today (February 24, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department at the Police Department in Veles conducted an educational lecture at the primary school "Blaže Koneski" in Veles for seventh and ninth-grade students on the topic "Prevention of addictions, substance abuse, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, and the internet." The goal of the preventive-educational activity was for students to become aware of the health hazards associated with the use of drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, as well as the negative impacts on the development of young individuals, families, and the broader social environment. They were also explained the forms and manifestations of addiction, which contribute to aggressive and antisocial behavior, as well as the methods for prevention and the punitive provisions for potential violations of the law. Students were advised to use social media carefully and not to accept any posted challenges.
Police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station at the Police Department in Bitola held a lecture at the primary school "Stiv Naumov" in Bitola on the topic "Let’s protect children in traffic." Students had the opportunity to learn about basic traffic rules, proper behavior as pedestrians, and the importance of safety in traffic. Preventive activities in the field of traffic were also carried out in Berovo and Delčevo.
The Prevention Department at the Police Department in Skopje conducted three educational workshops at the primary schools "Nevena Georgieva-Dunya," "Kliment Ohridski," and "Marko Cepenkov" on the topic "Prevention of violence."
