Today (September 23, 2026) in Veles, police officers from the Police Station for Public Safety in Veles conducted a preventive activity titled "Buckle Up," aimed at reminding citizens of the obligation to wear seat belts in vehicles, as well as to consistently adhere to all traffic rules and regulations. It was emphasized that wearing a seat belt is a legal requirement for both drivers and passengers in vehicles, with the goal of enhancing personal safety. Meanwhile, police officers from the Police Station in Kavadarci carried out a preventive activity called "Don't Use Your Mobile Phone While Driving," to raise awareness among drivers about the risks of using a mobile phone while operating a vehicle. In Negotino, a preventive activity on the theme "Cross at the Pedestrian Crossing" was conducted to increase the safety of pedestrians, who, as the most vulnerable category of road users, are obligated to respect traffic rules and regulations, always crossing the street at marked pedestrian crossings and refraining from using headphones and mobile phones. In Kochani, the focus was on proper parking to avoid endangering other road users, particularly pedestrians.
At the Primary School "Dame Grujev" in the village of Erdzhelija and at the kindergarten "September 7" in Berovo, as well as in the municipality of Krivogastani, police officers from the Regional Police Directorate in Stip and Bitola explained to children how to navigate traffic safely, ensuring they can get to and from school without incident. Yesterday (September 22, 2026), just before the start of the apple harvest in Resen, police officers from the Regional Police Directorate in Bitola and the Police Station in Resen held a seminar with farmers on the topic "Safe Use of Agricultural Machinery." As part of the activities, printed educational materials were distributed.
The Prevention Department at the Police Station in Kumanovo organized a sports event at the Primary School "Karpos" in the village of Umin Dol, which, in addition to fostering camaraderie among the children, was also utilized for education, specifically to inform the youth about the harmful consequences of addictions, such as drugs.
