Preventive activities for safe traffic and the prevention of theft and violence

Today (September 24, 2026) at the border crossing "Blace," police officers from the Mobile Unit for Road Traffic Safety within the Traffic Department, in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety, conducted a preventive campaign aimed at enhancing traffic safety and supporting the "Safe City" system.
The campaign is focused on informing and educating all participants in traffic, especially motor vehicle drivers, about how the "Safe City" system operates, its role in detecting and sanctioning traffic violations, as well as the rights and obligations of traffic participants whose violations will be recorded using technical means and recording devices.

Preventive activities for safer traffic were also carried out by police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station at the Regional Police Department in Veles on the topic "Buckle Up."  Citizens of Veles were reminded of the obligation to use seat belts in vehicles, as well as to consistently adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, emphasizing that wearing a seat belt is a legal requirement for both drivers and passengers in vehicles, aimed at increasing personal safety. At the Primary School "Vanco Prke" in Delcevo and the Primary School "Nikola Parapunov" in the village of Dragobraste, police officers from the Regional Police Department in Stip explained to children how to navigate traffic safely, ensuring they can travel from school to home and back without incident. In Stip and Kochani, the emphasis of the preventive activities was placed on the consequences that can arise if drivers use mobile phones or operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Police officers from the Čaška Police Department once again carried out preventive activities aimed at protecting against theft, during which they advised citizens on how to safeguard themselves from various forms of theft, protect their homes, and be vigilant with their personal belongings. The Bitola Police Department yesterday (September 23, 2026) held an educational event on the topic of "Digital Security, Digital Violence, and Early Recognition of Risks in Children" as part of the Social Protection Council of the Municipality of Bitola, in collaboration with the Public Institution Center for Social Work Bitola, attended by representatives from primary and secondary schools, professional services, parent councils, associations, and other institutions. The event presented measures for digital security, early detection of digital violence, and recognition of risks in children.
