Today (April 8, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the Regional Police Station in Veles conducted educational lectures at the primary school "Blaže Koneski" and the secondary school "Gymnasium Kočo Racin" in Veles, as part of the campaign "Life Has No Restart - Weapons Are Not a Game," aimed at raising awareness among the youth about the risks of small and light weapon abuse, supported by the OSCE Mission in Skopje. Through presentations and interactive communication, the harmful consequences of weapon abuse were emphasized to the students. The campaign aims to prevent violent behavior among the youth, to resolve problems through dialog and non-violent means, and to strengthen cooperation among institutions in their actions to achieve the goal of increasing safety, especially among the young population.
Additionally, today preventive activities in the field of traffic were carried out. Police officers from the Public Safety Police at the Regional Police Station in Veles conducted a preventive activity on the theme "Drive Consciously, Drive Responsibly," reminding drivers of their obligation to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations, while in the area of the Negotino Police Station, an activity on the theme "Buckle Up" was held. In the villages of Lisice, Melnica, and Vranovci, in the municipality of Čashka, police officers from the Čashka Police Station conducted an activity on the theme "Operate Agricultural Machinery Safely," while police officers from the Kavadarci Police Station carried out a preventive activity dedicated to pedestrians, highlighting the rules for their safe movement as the most at-risk category of traffic participants. A preventive campaign to raise awareness about the need to respect traffic rules and regulations was also conducted by police officers from the Berovo Police Station in Berovo.
Police officers from the Regional Center for Border Affairs - East and the Delčevo Police Station conducted an educational workshop with students from the Secondary School "M.M. Brico" in Delčevo on the topic: "Prevention of Human Trafficking."
