Today (September 7, 2026) in Skopje, Shtip, and Probishtip, police officers from the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department, the Prevention Section of the Shtip Police Department, the Shtip Police Station, and the Probishtip Police Station conducted preventive activities for safe traffic. In Shtip, the focus was on informing citizens about the consequences that may arise if they drive under the influence of alcohol, while in Skopje and Probishtip, the emphasis was on the need for regular vehicle maintenance to ensure they are technically sound, the consequences that may occur if drivers use mobile phones while driving, and the necessity of using seat belts, both by drivers and passengers, primarily for personal safety. Citizens were reminded that they must respect all traffic rules and regulations so that together we can contribute to safe traffic. In Skopje, a preventive activity was also carried out to protect against property crimes, during which citizens were given advice on how to protect themselves from theft and fraud.
On September 6, 2026, at the 36th traditional ascent of Mount Korab, police officers from the Western Regional Police Directorate and the Intervention Police Unit also participated. In coordination with the Ranger Service of the "Mavrovo" National Park, in addition to measures for the smooth conduct of the event, participants were informed about the need for responsible behavior to prevent any possibility of fires or other threats to nature.
