Today (September 15, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Veles conducted a preventive activity titled "There is Help for a Life Without Violence," aimed at proactively addressing the emergence of gender-based violence, while also clarifying the procedures and protocols in cases of gender-based violence and the availability of support and protection services.
Police officers from SVR Veles and the Prevention Department of SVR Skopje carried out preventive activities for protection against property crimes in Veles and Skopje, providing citizens with useful advice on how to protect themselves from various forms of theft, safeguard their homes, and be vigilant with their personal belongings.
In the areas of Veles, Kochani, Vinica, Berovo, Skopje, and Kavadarci, preventive activities for safe traffic were also conducted. Police officers from the PS BPS Veles implemented the activity "Do Not Use Your Mobile Phone While Driving," warning drivers about the risks of using a mobile phone while operating vehicles, while in Kavadarci, the emphasis was placed on adhering to the maximum speed limit. At the toll stations "Sopot," "Vinichani," and "Otovica," police officers conducted the preventive activity "Drive Rested," emphasizing to drivers the importance of operating a vehicle while well-rested, as fatigue and decreased concentration are among the main causes of traffic accidents.
Police officers from the PO BPS Kochani carried out the preventive activity "Be Responsible at the Crosswalk" aimed at pedestrians in Kochani. In direct communication with pedestrians, they were advised to walk on sidewalks and not to use mobile phones or headphones while crossing the street. Educational workshops on safe traffic were held at the Primary School "Slavcho Stojmenski" in Vinica and at elementary schools in the Skopje municipality of Kisela Voda.
