Today (23 June 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Skopje) carried out a preventive campaign titled “Beware of Telephone Scams” in the Kisela Voda area. Elderly citizens were informed about the methods used in telephone fraud schemes and were provided with advice on how to avoid becoming victims of scams. Educational printed materials were also distributed as part of the campaign.
In addition, in the Kisela Voda area, the Prevention Department of SVR Skopje, in cooperation with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety, organized a road safety campaign under the slogan “Wear a Helmet”, aimed at riders of motorcycles, bicycles, and electric scooters.
Preventive activities focused on improving road safety were also carried out by police officers from SVR Shtip in Pehchevo and Shtip.
Meanwhile, the Prevention Unit of SVR Strumica conducted preventive and educational activities on the topic “Prevention and Protection Against Open-Space Fires” at the foothills of Mount Belasica, at the excursion sites Gabrovo Waterfalls, Kolešino Waterfalls, and Mokrino Springs.
Through direct conversations with visitors, police officers highlighted measures for protection and risk reduction related to forest fires. Particular emphasis was placed on the dangers of causing fires through the burning of field boundaries, crop residues, dry grass, and waste on agricultural land.
