On March 5, 2026, the Prevention Department of the Police Department of Skopje, in collaboration with the Red Cross, conducted traffic preventive activities in the areas of Aerodrom and Kisela Voda to enhance traffic safety. During this, drivers in Aerodrom were reminded to use seat belts and refrain from using mobile phones while driving. Meanwhile, second-grade students from the primary school "Rajko Zinzifov" in Kisela Voda were presented with and explained the fundamentals of traffic culture, traffic rules, regulations, and signs, with a special emphasis on those that directly affect the safety of children participating in traffic as pedestrians. The Police Department of Skopje also conducted an educational workshop at the primary school "Goce Delchev" in the area of the Police Station of Petrovec on the topic of "Prevention of Addictions." The students were made aware of the various forms of addiction and how they often generate aggression, violence, and crime, which inevitably leads to the downfall of the addict, their family, and the broader social environment.
Yesterday (March 4, 2026), police officers from the Police Station of Debar held a workshop at the kindergarten "Bresha" in Debar on the topic "The Policeman is My Friend." Through proactive communication and a structured approach, the youngest were explained the role and tasks of a police officer, what safety is, what traffic is and why it is important, what a traffic light is, where to cross the road, and why traffic signs and regulations should be respected. The goal of the workshop is to timely educate the youngest population on topics related to traffic safety and to develop their traffic culture.
Today (03.05.2026), police officers from the Prevention Department of the SVR Veles conducted preventive activities on the topics "There is help for a life without violence" and "Prevention of begging." Through direct communication, citizens were informed about the occurrences of domestic violence, their rights, and protective measures in the presence of certain forms of domestic violence, as well as how to recognize psychological abuse and guidance on what they can do if they find themselves in a situation to witness a certain type of violence. Additionally, the police officers carried out an activity to prevent begging, advising citizens to refrain from giving money to those who beg, and to report any observed cases of begging, especially by children on the streets, to the relevant institutions for their protection and full integration into society. Police officers from the OVK Negotino, on the other hand, at the City Market and the Pensioners' Home in Negotino and in Demir Kapija, conducted preventive activities on the topic "Protection from fraud," aiming to alert citizens, especially the elderly, to be cautious when conversing with unknown individuals who falsely present themselves and offer various services or mislead them about potential accidents involving close family members.
A preventive activity for protection against violence was also carried out today in Pehchevo. Meanwhile, in Shtip, activities for safe traffic were conducted, while in Probishtip, the activities were focused on illegal logging, urging citizens to take maximum care of the forest resources and that they are obliged to report any illegal actions to the police station.
