Preventive activities in the areas of the Regional Police Stations of Veles, Stip, and Skopje for safe traffic and prevention of cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs 

 

On March 2, 2026, police officers from the Police Station in Negotino, together with representatives from the Municipal Council for Road Traffic Safety in Negotino, conducted a preventive activity on the theme "Safe Tractor Driving." As part of the activity, citizens operating agricultural machinery and tractors were advised to be cautious and to adhere to legal rules and regulations, particularly regarding regular maintenance and technical soundness, in order to enhance both their own safety and that of other road users. During the preventive activity, printed educational materials were distributed. 

On March 3, 2026, on a regional road in the village of Buchishte, near Probishtip, police officers from the Department of Internal Affairs in Probishtip carried out preventive activities to increase traffic safety. In Kochani, police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station conducted a preventive activity on the themes "If you drink, don't drive" and "If you drive, don't drink." During this, drivers were handed out flyers containing educational content with recommendations for adhering to traffic rules and regulations, using winter equipment, not using mobile phones while operating a vehicle, and the mandatory adjustment of speed according to road conditions. It was also emphasized that any driver operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol above the legal limit would be sanctioned. Meanwhile, at the primary school "Dedo Iljo Malesevski" in Berovo, an educational lecture on the topic "Prevention of Cigarettes, Alcohol, and Drugs" was held for ninth-grade students. 

On March 3, 2026, at the primary school "Rajko Zinzifov" in the municipality of Kisela Voda in Skopje, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department organized an educational-preventive activity titled "Let's Protect Children in Traffic." In an interactive manner, information about the fundamentals of traffic culture, traffic rules, regulations, and signs was presented and explained to the second-grade students, with a special emphasis on those that directly impact the safety of children who participate in traffic as pedestrians.
