Today (January 14, 2026), police officers from the Regional Police Departments of Veles, Ohrid, and Stip conducted preventive activities for safe traffic. Police officers from the Prevention Unit at the Regional Police Department of Veles and the Traffic Safety Police Station, at the toll station "Otočica" on the Veles-Skopje highway, carried out preventive activities under the themes "Use Winter Equipment" and "Drive Safely with a Technically Sound Vehicle," directly communicating with drivers about the necessity of adhering to traffic rules and regulations, with a particular emphasis on compliance with provisions regarding the use of winter equipment and the obligation for regular maintenance and technical soundness of vehicles, as a key prerequisite for safe participation in traffic. Drivers were also provided with printed educational materials, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security - Skopje.
Police officers from the Prevention Unit at the Regional Police Department of Ohrid and the Traffic Safety Police Station in Ohrid conducted a preventive activity aimed at drivers, highlighting the harmful consequences that can arise from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, as well as the penalties for such actions. Meanwhile, police officers from the Basic Police Station in Berovo focused their preventive activities in Berovo on the older categories of traffic participants, aiming to ensure their safe participation in traffic.
