Preventive activities by the Police Department of Veles and the Police Department of Stip for safe traffic and the prevention of domestic and peer violence

Today (March 12, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Police Department of Veles conducted educational lectures at the Primary School "Goce Delchev" in Kavadarci on the topics of "Violence in Schools," "Cyberbullying," "Caution When Using Social Media," and "TikTok Challenges." The students were made aware of the potential consequences that may arise, as well as the ways and methods for timely prevention and handling of this type of deviant behavior among youth. Additionally, the students were advised on the need for greater caution when using social media, specifically not to accept any posted challenges that could harm them.

Furthermore, today in Veles, Vinica, Berovo, Kochani, Delcevo, and Pehchevo, preventive activities were carried out under the themes "There is Help for a Life Without Violence" and "Don't Be a Silent Witness," aimed at proactively preventing the occurrence of any form of gender-based violence and encouraging victims to report cases to the police in a timely manner, informing them about protective measures in the presence of certain forms of domestic violence.

In Vinica, a preventive activity for protection against theft was conducted, while in Kochani, an event under the motto "Drive Responsibly - Buckle Up" took place. Through direct communication, citizens were reminded of the obligation to use seat belts in vehicles and to consistently adhere to all traffic rules and regulations. The use of seat belts is a legal requirement for both drivers and passengers in vehicles, aimed at increasing their personal safety and significantly contributing to reduced consequences in the event of a traffic accident. Educational flyers were also distributed to drivers.
