Today (27.01.2026), the Prevention Unit of SIA Veles carried out preventive and educational activities at several locations in Veles, with the main focus on pedestrian safety. As active participants in traffic, pedestrians are obliged to respect traffic rules and regulations. They should cross streets only at designated pedestrian crossings, avoid using headphones and mobile phones while crossing, and remain cautious—especially during evening hours when moving through poorly lit areas.
Citizens were provided with printed educational materials containing recommendations for safe participation in traffic, prepared in cooperation with the Republic Council on Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
Police officers from SIA Shtip also conducted preventive traffic-related activities. In Berovo, the activities were carried out under the motto “Drive Rested – Drive Responsibly!”, while in Probishtip under the motto “Park Conscientiously, Park Responsibly”. In addition to useful advice on safe participation in traffic, citizens were also informed about the sanctions for non-compliance with traffic laws.
