Today (26 January 2026), police officers from the Skopje Police Department and the Shtip Police Department carried out preventive traffic-related activities at several locations in the municipality of Aerodrom and in the city of Shtip.
Through direct communication with drivers and distribution of educational leaflets, the officers emphasized the importance of respecting traffic rules and regulations in order to increase road safety, with particular focus on the mandatory use of winter equipment, which is in force from 15 November 2025 until 15 March 2026.
Additionally, drivers were informed about the harmful consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as the legal obligation to use seat belts and the fact that seat belt use significantly reduces the consequences in the event of a traffic accident. Drivers were also informed about the sanctions prescribed for non-compliance with the law.
