Today (May 25, 2026) in Skopje and Štip, police officers from the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police and the Prevention Section of the Štip Police conducted preventive activities aimed at preventing fires and illegal logging of trees. The police officers, in conversation with citizens, emphasized the need for maximum diligence and care for the forest resources. Additionally, citizens were informed that illegal logging and causing fires are criminal offenses that are legally sanctioned.
If they notice illegal logging or a fire, they should immediately report it to the emergency number 112. Citizens were also provided with printed educational materials, created in collaboration with the Public Enterprise "National Forests."
