During the previous day (28.01.2026), the Prevention Department at SIA Ohrid began implementing a preventive road safety campaign aimed at motorcyclists, cyclists, and users of electric scooters. Through direct communication and the distribution of educational leaflets, citizens were informed about the need to comply with traffic regulations in order to participate safely in traffic, with particular emphasis on the legal obligation to wear protective helmets, the mandatory use of bicycle lanes, and compliance with horizontal and vertical traffic signage.
Meanwhile, on the territory of SIA Shtip, preventive activities were carried out today in Probishtip, Vinica, Berovo, and Kochani under the slogans “Do not drive under the influence of alcohol,” “Drive a technically roadworthy vehicle,” and “Wear a seat belt.” Drivers were warned about the harmful consequences that may arise from driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as the need for regular checks of the technical condition of vehicles. It was also emphasized that the use of a seat belt significantly contributes to reducing the severity of injuries in the event of traffic accidents.
